English Preschool Kunratice, Prague

Kunratice KinderGarten is a private nursery school,l which offers a program for children from 24 months to 6 years.

Communication language is English and the teaching is carried out by qualified native speakers as well as professional Czech teachers. Children learn in a natural and fun way in the pleasant atmosphere of a family house.

During the morning program, the English lessons for children take part in two teaching blocks. Children are introduced to a myriad of topics. They also learn letters and numbers. We use games, pictures, books and various aids for teaching. For outdoor activities we use our garden and nearby park everyday.

In the afternoons, we offer clubs for children on various topics. We have sports activities, such as swimming lessons, pony riding and yoga, which are very popular with the children. We also offer ceramics and we regularly visit a salt cave. We organize a preparatory course once a week for our preschool children.

For primary school pupils, we offer the afternoon club called After School English Club. This club is led by native speakers and due to the small number of children are we able to ensure an individual approach. These children have acquired a substantial amount of English language knowledge and we strive to improve upon it. The topics of the afternoon sessions are closely related with the content that children cover in the primary schools during their lessons of Natural Science. As the children arrive after school, teaching blocks are alternated with freer activities - outside and inside.

The children also visit museums, exhibitions, castles, zoos, etc. Twice a year, at Christmas and in the summer, we organize a show with children for their parents. This is a chance for the children to perform what they have learned with their teachers.
